Zero no Tsukaima: Princess no Rondo – Episode 3
There’s only one word to describe this episode. Slow. It’s inevitable that Tifa’s history will have to be explain, but did it have to take up an entire episode? Even though her background is wrapped in mystery, it failed to keep me interested one bit. Princess no Rondo is quickly descending into a clone of the second season. Let’s just hope they can still salvage something out of it.
Summary
Tifa gets kidnapped by Saito and taken to Henrietta, where she is interrogated about herself and her past. Also, Tiffania gave Saito permission to call her Tifa to reflect the intimacy of their relationship, so I’m going to call her Tifa for the rest of the blog. Not because we are particularly close, actually, I think she’s a boring bimbo with boobs, but because I’m a lazy blogger. One less letter i have to type is one most more letter i can waste on some thing else. Plus, Tifa reminds me of her.
Don’t do it, it’s a trap!
Tifa reveals that she is actually a half-elf, much to the surprise of everyone else. Clearly she hasn’t played enough MMO’s, otherwise she would know that that she is in fact a halfling. Need to play more Never Winter Nights, Miss Tifa. It is also revealed that she is a mage, fueling speculation that she is indeed the other void user. Hands up those who think that she’ll display a dramatic demonstration of her powers at the last second during a traumatic experience. After all, Zero no Tsukaima isn’t known for original plots.
Elves are evil!
We find out that Tifa is also Henrietta’s cousin. The family resemblance is startling. Never mind that they look nothing alike, doesn’t it mean that Tifa is now nth in line for the throne? Who’s betting that she harbours some hidden agenda involving the simultaneous assassination of the royal family?
“My uncle had weird tastes.”
Henrietta finally puts her plans into motion and claim Saito as her personal slave by knighting, or chevaliering him. To keep an eye on her newly acquired toy, Henrietta appoints Seista as his personal maid, much to the disapproval of Louise.
Isn’t she suppose to use a sword?
We also find out a bit more about Sheffield’s shady master. His name is Joseph, but I like shady master better. Apparently he was the mastermind behind Albion’s invasion. His current plan is to ignore the other nations and have hawt sex with his familiar in his mansion.
The plan: build a fifty foot mecha based on the figure and take over the world with it
Thoughts
The problem with this episode is that Tifa is boring. I don’t care about her. She’s some character that was only introduced one episode ago, so why are we spending the entire episode on her. Even Sheffield is more interesting, at least she creates some interesting albeit repetitive scenarios.
Perfect fellatio height
It will also be interesting to see what role Tifa will play in the rest of the story. I’m going to be seriously pissed if she becomes a minor recurring character, considering how much time they’ve spend on her so far. Also, judging by the amount of flashbacks, her mother played a major role in the events so far as well.
Such stereotyping. Elves playing harps.

i couldn’t help but wonder why saito wasn’t curious about the song that tifa sang, i mean it’s about the void familiars after all. shouldn’t he be at least a little curious after listening to “the left hand of god, gandalfr” and “the right hand of god, windalfr” ? since sheffield has recently been revealed as the brain of god, there’s only the right hand of god that hasn’t been revealed yet.

where are you getting all these references from?

erm, she said that herself in the first episode….
and in the song that tifa sang in this episode, there’s the left hand of god gandalfr and right hand of god windalfr, so i’m assuming that there’s a right hand of god somewhere >_>

Oh right, I think I was distracted by Louise’s panties. ==;
So let’s see now, Sheffield is the brain of God, Gandalfr is the left hand of God, and that leaves Tifa’s familiar as the right hand. Then it will be revealled that Louise, Tifa and Joseph are all related through some adulterous relationship of their parents.
That leaves the two feet of God because a footless God would be kind of immobile and wouldn’t be able to smite people with his wrath. Oh I know it must be these two new characters. When all five pieces are assembled, the one who holds all the pieces will obtain the power to destroy the world… okay I’m thinking of Yu-Gi-Oh here.

Ha! I randomly came across this site trying to find out more about the deal with “gandalfr” and “windalfr” but I have to say your synopsis of the episode is mighty entertaining. Despite having found out nothing that I was looking for I will definitely come back here for the grins and laughs.
Perhaps it WILL be like Yu-Gi-Oh…but with little figurines?

In the lightnovel it’s hinted that Julio is actually the right hand of god, but it wasn’t clearly said…

i think that it`s 4 void users because i saw the elf who was allied with joseph said if the 4 demon of the gate of “something´´ are united the destruction of the world will come and by demons mean it is the void power to humans
