Full Metal Alchemist second season confirmed

Just over a month ago, there were rumours that a second season of Full Metal Alchemist in the works, after a spreadsheet containing a list of animators from Bones was leaked out. Well, those rumours have now being confirmed.
The official announcement of the new anime series was made on the cover notes of the original Fullmetal Alchemist manga volume 20. An anonymous source from MOONPHASE says it’ll be one-year series starting from April 2009, and it will be a remake that follow closely to the original manga.

This now brings in question the authenticity of that original leak, and whether or not we’ll see a Darker than Black second season. Fingers crossed…

It`d be so awesome if it`ll be based on the manga plot line and with the same excellent voice cast of the anime series. Even if it is a continuation of the anime series I will be delighted nonetheless but it`d be nice if it did take the grittier storyline of the manga.

I believe that is what’s being implied, although it’s from an anonymous source. Ignoring the anime original ending would probably be the best decision for the new season. The first season and the movie wrapped everything up quite well and it would be a shame to try to continue it.

What I’m more interested in is the DtB sequel
I think FMA should be left at is it, it ended on a good note. We probably won’t see any sequel of BONES anime, there haven’t been any to date anyway.

Well, the offical annoucement of FMA sequel means there’s still hope that the DtB sequel is also a possiblity, since they both originated from the same leak.
I believe BONES is making a Eureka Seven movie. Not sure if it’s a sequel or a retelling, hopefully it would be the former.

I think that a new season of FMA would be AMAZING! I hated how the movie ended, though it was still good. The Manga is WONDERFUL, but I really want Ed and Al to return to the Alchemy world so Ed can be with Winry and ROY AND RIZA MUST GET TOGETHER (or Ed and Roy, but that’s not the poin)!!!

What’s the sequel gonna be about?
I mean it left off (in the movie) where Ed & Al where both stuck in the world of non-alchemy after Ed got his real body back.
=/ I like where it finished.

Oh, one similar to the manga~? Yay! I love both… but I wish the movie hadn’t ended off like that… ;_; Winry and Ed and Al~! Ah… well I can’t wait until it comes out in April!~ ^_^ And that they have the same voice actors, pleease~ It will sound too weird if not. = ^ = Aha…

I can’t wait for the remake to be released. XD The manga is awesome, thought I thought the anime was ok I think following the manga would be a major improvement.
On another note. WinryEd….Bleag… The thought makes me feel ill. She seems more inlove with her wrench. I hate that paring as much as I hate him with Rose. As far as I’m concerned Ed is too cool for either of them.
