Animania 2008 (extremely abridged)

Animania was held over the weekend. It’s an anime convention held twice a year in Sydney. Too bad it has to be smack in the middle of the semester, right between exams, and various other commitments meant I really shouldn’t have gone. Since I live around 15min walk from where it’s held, I thought I should pop in and have a look.

It’s closeness to SMASH meant that the majority of the cosplayers simply reused their costumes from SMASH. There were some new cosplays but they either didn’t attend SMASH or just have way too much time on their hands. Either way I wasn’t in the mood to go around taking photos of the cosplayer. That and the fact that my camera is still failing me.

How to make a yukata. Not a place I want to be.

I probably spent more time outside of the convention looking for food and in it. Who’s idea was it to hold the damn thing in the more remote location imaginable, the nearest Maccas was around 1km away. The duration I did stay in there was spent looking for sunglasses on walls for some unknown prize.
