Strike Witches – Episode 4

Posted in Anime, Review with tags , on 31 July, 2008 by Yitza

Long phallic object… god only knows what she’s thinking

After waiting for some kind of dramatic plot twist or shocking surprise development, I have come to realise that this probably isn’t the best anime to be looking for them. I have resigned to the fact that Strike Witches doesn’t have any semblance of an decent storyline, and its premises is so they can pack as much loli pantsu shots in as humanly possible. With that said… pantsu shots are still good. ^^

Incest Psychology

A few days ago, one of my friends asked me the most bizarre question. Bizarre because it involves psychology, incest, apocalypse etc. Question and my answer after the jump.

Strike Witches – Episode 3

Posted in Anime, Review with tags , on 29 July, 2008 by Yitza

Better late than never, although considering the quality of this blog, never would probably be better. After three episodes, I still can’t figure out whether GONZO is trying for a humorous parody-esque of the entire mecha musume genre, or making a serious attempt at a Sky Girls remake with their own retarded unique touch.

I’m not dead… yet

Posted in Blog, Rant with tags , , on 26 July, 2008 by Yitza

That’s right, this blog isn’t dead… yet. I’m just a little busy to write the next review for Strike Witches as well as a few other topics that’s taking up unused space in my brain (something I happened to have a lot of). Yes, I’m completely aware that episode 4 is already out and I’m still struggling to write the review for episode 3. To compensate I thought I’d post a picture of Mizunashi Akari. Just don’t ask me how that has anything to do with my procrastination.

Wow, this blog has risen to new lows, posting filler entries. On that note, I never understood why people complain about fillers in anime, I mean it’s not like they are forcing you to watch the bloody fillers are they?

Scientific namesake for Pikachu

Posted in Anime, Culture with tags , , , on 24 July, 2008 by Yitza

A team of researchers, led by Takahisa Furukawa, M.D. & Ph.D., at Osaka Bioscience Institute in Suita, Osaka Prefecture, has identified a protein that is necessary to efficiently transmit visual information to the brain. The researchers believe the Pikachurin protein plays a role in determining the efficiency of kinetic vision, and thus name it after Pikachu who is known for its lightning-fast moves. Also it’s a stunt to get free publicity for their research and the institute, but they forgot to mention that.

This is so awesome… I never thought I’d see the day Pikachu would do something awesome enough for me to blog about.

Zero no Tsukaima: Princess no Rondo – Episode 3

Posted in Anime, Review with tags , , on 23 July, 2008 by Yitza

There’s only one word to describe this episode. Slow. It’s inevitable that Tifa’s history will have to be explain, but did it have to take up an entire episode? Even though her background is wrapped in mystery, it failed to keep me interested one bit. Princess no Rondo is quickly descending into a clone of the second season. Let’s just hope they can still salvage something out of it.
